Regions and AZs

Regions

A region is a different geographic area where physical data centers are located, usually divided based on the city where the physical data center is located.

  • The private network is completely isolated between different regions, ensuring the maximum stability and fault tolerance between different regions.

Availability Zones

An Availability Zone (AZ) is a physical area within the same region with independent power and network connectivity.

  • Fault isolation can be achieved between different availability zones, meaning when one zone fails, it will not affect other zones, ensuring uninterrupted online operation for your business without being affected by localized faults.
  • Resources such as notebooks, training jobs and containers can only persist data using volumes under the same region
