Terminating/Returning Instances

Operating Scenario:
When an instance is no longer needed, it can be destroyed and moved to the recycle bin. Instances in the recycle bin can be restored or released according to actual needs.

Impact When Destroying an Instance
:When an instance enters the destruction state, the related impacts are as follows:• Billing: The instance's status changes to "In Destruction", "Pending Recovery", or "Released", and will no longer generate fees.
◦ For instances billed by usage, billing will stop.
◦ For instances billed by the year/month, a refund will be generated.• Instance Data: The system disk and mounted data disks will be released together, and the data cannot be retrieved. Please take a backup in advance.• Elastic Public IP: The Elastic Public IP of the destroyed instance will continue to be retained and can be used after the instance is restored.

Operating Steps:
1. Log in to the Bitdeer Cloud Server Control Panel at https://www.bitdeer.ai/zh/instance/server.
2. In the left navigation tree, select "Server" to go to the cloud server list page.
3. Choose the appropriate view mode based on your actual use. For more information on viewing modes, please refer to https://staging.bitdeer.ai/en/docs/vms/view-instance/.
- List view: In the operation column to the right of the row of the instance you want to operate, select "More > Delete".
- Details view: On the instance details page you want to operate, click "All Operations > Delete" in the upper-right corner of the page.
4. In the pop-up window, check the resources that will be destroyed, and verify the refund information of the related instance.
- When "Immediately release" is selected, the resource will be immediately released without being moved to the recycle bin. Please be careful.
- When "Release data disk" is selected, the data disk mounted on the instance will be destroyed together. If the data disk contains important data, be sure to back it up in advance.
5. After you have verified the information, check the "I have read and understand the risks associated with this operation" box, and then click "Confirm".
6. After the operation is successful, a success prompt will pop up. At the same time, the actual refund amount for the related instance will be displayed in the pop-up window.
release instance
- 1. Log in to the cloud server console.
2. In the left navigation tree, select "Recycle Bin > Server" to go to the cloud server recycle bin list.
3. In the operation column on the right side of the row where the desired instance for operation is located, click "Release".
4. In the pop-up window, check the resources to be released and related notes.
5. After confirming that the information is accurate, click the "Confirm" button to complete the release operation.
