Shutting Down Instances

Operation scenario
This article describes how to shut down one or more cloud server instances. Note: After the instance is stopped, billing will not be suspended and resources will still be reserved for you. If you need to suspend billing, you need to perform the operation of destroying/returning the instance.

Prerequisites
Only instances in the "running" state support the stop operation.
Operation steps
Log in to the cloud server console.
In the left navigation tree, select "Servers" to jump to the cloud server list page.
Operate according to the view mode actually used. For more view information, please see View Instance Information.
List view: In the operation column on the right side of the row where the instance to be operated is located, select "Shut Down".
Detail view: On the page of the instance to be operated, click "Shut Down" in the upper right corner.
Select one or more instances to be shut down, and then click the "Shut Down" button. Confirm in the pop-up window to perform the shutdown operation.
Operation result
After performing the shutdown operation, the instance changes to the "shutting down" state. After a short period of time, it changes to the "shut down" state.
