Create a volume
Prerequisites
- Register a Platform Account:
- Create a Bitdeer AI account.
- Complete KYC Verification:
- Fulfill KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements by providing real-name information to ensure compliance and security.
Operations
- Log in to AI Studio.
- In the left navigation tree, expand Data Solutions and select Volumes.
- Click on the "+New" button.
- Configure the following volume details:

- Region: Select the closest region to your customer for reduced access delays and improved speed. - Available Zone: If you need to purchase multiple cloud servers, choose different available areas to achieve disaster tolerance. For more information, please refer to Regions and Available Zones. |
| Name | Enter a unique name for the volume. |
| Storage Type |
Choose the desired storage type from the dropdown (e.g.,
Standard (Sequential read and write up to 300MiB/s),
Premium (Sequential read and write up to 90GiB/s)).

| Size |
Specify the size of the volume (e.g.,
10Gi).

- Alternate creation methods include:
- Users can also create volumes during the setup process when creating a notebook or container.
- In the respective configuration steps, select Create New Volume and provide the necessary details.
- After reviewing the configuration details, click "Confirm".
- The new volume will appear in the volume list once created.
